What to Expect:
On your first visit to our office, you will need to fill out some forms. Then you may see a short video explaining why you are here. You will meet the doctor, who will perform a complete history and a comprehensive chiropractic, neurological and orthopedic examination. If necessary, x-rays will be taken. Instructions will be given for home care until your next visit.
On your second visit, if you are a chiropractic candidate, you may see another short video explaining chiropractic. The doctor will show you your x-rays and answer the four questions: What’s wrong?; How can chiropractic help?; How long will it take?; How much will it cost? You will then receive your first chiropractic adjustment. If you are not a chiropractic candidate, you will be referred to the appropriate health care professional.
After your first adjustment, you will probably feel better. Occasionally, you will feel sore, as if you exercised. This is normal and will pass.
During your course of care, exercises, re-exams, and other suggestions may be given. It is important to follow through with all of your doctor’s recommendations and to ask questions.
